Social Studies Tutors

SMARTHINKING, Inc is hiring motivated individuals to serve as part-time online tutors in Social Studies (middle school through pre-collegiate levels). A Washington, D.C.-based education organization, SMARTHINKING, Inc provides real-time, online tutoring and learning support to middle schools, high schools, and colleges.

All candidates can work from any location with computer and Internet access. Candidates must be available to work afternoons and evenings during weekdays. Candidates may work up to 29 hours per week. To qualify, individuals must have substantial teaching/tutoring experience in Social Studies and an enthusiasm for online education.

The ideal candidate will have training and/or experience in one or more of the following areas: MA or Ph.D. coursework or degree in History and/or Social Studies related field, and/or History education; Social Studies teaching/tutoring experience at middle school, high school, and/or collegiate levels. The ideal candidate will also have familiarity with Florida Sunshine State Standards.
