Neuroscience Tutor

SMARTHINKING is hiring motivated individuals to serve as part-time, online tutors to support Neuroscience. A Washington, D.C.-based educational organization, SMARTHINKING provides real-time, online tutoring and learning services to colleges and universities.

Responsibilities include: (i) tutoring Neuroscience level students, (ii) advising faculty members, and (iii) assisting in the training and mentoring of new online tutors.

Requirements for telecommuting: access to a computer, email, and internet service (PC computer and high speed Internet preferred).

Qualifications: candidates should have a bachelor’s degree, teaching certificate and/or advanced degree in neuroscience, nursing, health science, or related field. Candidates may work 2 to 20 hours per week.

The ideal candidate will have:

• College level teaching/tutoring experience in Neuroscience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to troubleshoot problems in an online environment.
• Strong typing skills.
