Julie Radachy, M.Ed., Associate Academic Coordinator, Social Studies

Julie is a certified and licensed middle school teacher in Social Studies and Language Arts and is a member of the National Council for the Social Studies. She began her career at SMARTHINKING in 2004 in the Online Writing Lab. Now a Lead tutor for the Online Writing Lab, she mentors, trains, and evaluates tutors. In addition, Julie teaches online composition courses to middle and high school homeschooled students. Before working at SMARTHINKING, she taught a self-contained fifth grade classroom and tutored students in grades K-12.

Julie has a B.A. in Telecommunication Studies and a B.S. in Ed. in Middle Childhood Education with concentrations in both Social Studies and Language Arts from Youngstown State University. She earned her M.Ed. in 2004 from American InterContinental University Online, where she focused on Instructional Technology.
